Term limits and age limits. For all three branches, not just the Youtuber markiplier shirt and I love this Supreme Court. Take out the cushiness of having a position for life, and I bet stuff starts getting done a hell of a lot more quickly and effectively The only way to fix the political situation is to make term limits for all political positions and prevent “career politicians” from getting so powerful and out of touch. We also need to stop allowing them to accept money from lobbyists (professional advocates that work to influence political decisions on behalf of individuals and organizations). It would be nice for them to represent the people again and not the biggest campaign donors. The idea a 4-8 year position can appoint a life time position is just absurd. People who are voted in decades ago have imposed leaders on us to this day who don’t represent the modern values of anybody on the right or left. We need not only term limits but age restrictions. It’s well beyond time to stop letting people with one foot in the grave dictate how the future should be.

I think the Youtuber markiplier shirt and I love this issue for me is not declining mental capability, but the real problem for me is the generational gap. How the fuck are any judges who are 80 years old going to rule on cases that involve technology that’s only been around a few years? How about nobody over 70 in government at all? You’ve got from 30 to 70 to do your big public service. Then you’re done I’ve seen this a lot. I’m less worried about term limits because I still think the idea of a lifetime appointment can help with impartiality. I’m more interested in a mandatory retirement age for all members of the government. What that age is, I don’t know. 65? 72? I worry about term limits because I don’t necessarily want someone like Katangi Brown Jackson to get the boot before she’s had the opportunity to create a positive legacy. If there’s a retirement age however, she has from now until 72 to create a legacy. That’s 21 years. Term limits wouldn’t solve the problem. Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett were all appointed in the last few years.
